Ruffle Wool Bag

Entirely hand-formed using a wet felting technique in Argentina, the Ruffle Pink Bag is shaped in a single process: built from layers of wool that are carefully massaged and moulded by hand until the form consolidates. The ruffled strap is constructed using a specialised moulding technique, placing different wool breeds in precise layers to generate the texture and volume needed to achieve its distinctive shape.

The wool is naturally dyed using cochineal pigment sourced from the north of Argentina, producing the soft gradient from natural ivory through blush pink to deep black. Cochineal is one of the oldest natural dyes in the world, used for centuries across South America for its intensity and depth of colour.

Worn as a crossbody or shoulder bag. As each bag is entirely handmade, slight variations in size may occur from piece to piece.

Care Instructions

This is a delicate handcrafted piece that requires gentle handling. Store in the dust pouch provided when not in use. Spot clean only with a barely damp cloth - do not submerge or machine wash.

Keep away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. As with all natural wool, some pilling may occur over time; this is a characteristic of the fibre. Use a fabric shaver occasionally to maintain the piece.
